Tszuji.co.uk, the UK’s leading online supplier of shoe storage solutions, yearned for a route to PR success in the run up to Christmas. In our first meeting with the client, everyone agreed there’s only so much you can say about shoe storage, so we decided on a lifestyle route ...

Idea
A poll had to be the solution. Better yet, a battle of the sexes survey. We got our pollsters to work, and announced to the media that a shocking 92% of women remember their first pair of shoes better than their first kiss. As Tszuji.co.uk director Glendon Lloyd put it: “These results show that women are more attached to their footwear than their menfolk.”

Results
This was one of our most successful stories.  Within 24 hours, it wasn’t just a national story, it was online worldwide, in countries as far afield as Japan and South Africa. Germaine Greer used it as the topic of her weekly column, The DailyMail ran a spread on it, The Telegraph covered it, as did The Sunday Times, Irish News, FabSugar, DigitalSpy, HandbagsMama, Shoeblog, and dozens of titles in the worldwide blogosphere.
