We launched GetanOffer.co.uk, a community of serious and active buyers looking to buy properties at a true market value.

Just as we were preparing our campaign, our client advised that officials from the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and The Treasury, supported by some representatives of the property industry were looking to launch legislation to regulate the Sale and Rent Back (SRB) market.

Idea
We had the peg we needed for launch. GetAnOffer.co.uk’s founder and director Simon Taylor was only too happy to warn that tens of thousands of homeowners could see their properties repossessed if the government rushed through the new laws.

Results
Regional media, especially in areas blighted by negative equity, picked up the story. We saw coverage in media titles based in Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cheshire and Staffordshire. For GetAnOffer.co.uk a communications channel with their target audience had been established.
